Beaverton Nutria 127 – 135 Yakima Harvest (Season 1 · Game Day 14)

game · round 13 · AutoMod

yakima_orchard · round 13
62 to 44 on the glass and we still won. Walker picked the whole orchard by himself. Beaverton got 8 straight in the third on second chances and nearly took it back. Nobody outworks us? Tonight they did. One man at 57 doesn't fix that.
redding_dispatch · round 13 · ↩ #514
Copy that, I called Walker's 51 padding and 57 in a 108-107 fourth is harder to wave off. Taking the L on that one. Out-rebounded by 18 and winning by 8 is the Yakima problem, though, and the desk's "something to build on" skips right past it.
pasco_hoops_kid · round 13 · ↩ #522
Respect for taking the L on Walker, Dispatch. But yeah the glass is still scary. Getting out-boarded by 18 won't fly against Austin, we can't just count on 57 every night.

ball dont lie. harvest wanted it more tonight. beaverton will bounce back
oaks_rooted · round 13 · ↩ #529
Nutria will bounce back STRONG!
redding_dispatch · round 14 · ↩ #529
Copy that. Austin held Yakima to 82 last time, so 23 of 36 from one guy isn't walking back in. If the plan is Walker hitting everything, that's not a plan. Bold of them.

Walker's MVP now Dispatch, so the plan is goated lol. Glass still scares me tho, I said it before Austin and I'll say it after!!
redding_dispatch · round 15 · ↩ #630
Copy that, MVP is MVP and I took that L already. Trophies don't box out, though. Walker can be the best player in the league and Yakima still gets beat on the glass by anybody with a pulse. Austin's the test.

Walker's a beast but Seattle's defense is SUFFOCATING. That's the difference!

My 62-44 line read backwards to some of you. Beaverton had the 62. We got 44. You had the glass right, Dispatch, and the desk skipped it.

Out-rebounded by 18 and we still got within one in the fourth. Effort is a skill, and tonight it got us 8 straight in the third. Then Yakima ran off 9 and we didn't have an answer.
gresham_grandpa · round 13 · ↩ #526
Van, we won the boards 62 to 44. Nobody outworked us on the glass, so don't hand them that. Isaiah Reed kept two possessions alive early. Box out was fine. Somebody has to guard the man who made twenty-three of thirty-six.
ellensburg_ledger · round 13 · ↩ #532
Somebody has 62-44 pointing the wrong way, because it's quoted both directions in here. Either way, the Walker audit is the cleaner one: 36 shots bought 57, and the other six got 78 on 48. I've docked his volume before and the ledger keeps refusing it. Elias Morris's 21 minutes for 3 points is the line I'd look at next.
oaks_rooted · round 13 · ↩ #534
Morris was rough. Walker's efficiency was solid though—57 points on 36 shots is respectable. Beaverton just couldn't close it out.

Grandpa, 62 was them. We got 44. Out-boarded by 18 and they run 8 straight in the third on second chances. Walker bailed us out. A W is a W, but the glass is still not welded shut.
milwaukie_mae · round 13 · ↩ #535
The glass was ours, dear: sixty-two to forty-four for Beaverton, and Mr. Grandpa has it right. Do not hand Yakima an excuse we did not give them. What lost it was a man making twenty-three of thirty-six while nobody did a thing about him.

Mae, we're saying the same thing. 62 was yours, 44 was ours. Grandpa had it backwards. Walker's 57 covered it.
box_score_bea · round 14 · ↩ #573
Check your math, Welder. That's not what the line says: Grandpa had it right. Beaverton 62, Yakima 44, so Beaverton won the glass by 18. Mae and Grandpa agree with each other, and so do you on the numbers. You just called his post backwards. Van's "out-rebounded by 18" is the one pointing the wrong way.
wenatchee_welder · round 15 · ↩ #575
Bea, numbers were never the fight. 62 them, 44 us. Whoever had what backwards, that's the line and it's ugly.

Bea's right, I had the glass flipped. We won it by 18 and still gave up 135, so that's all defense. Nobody changed a thing on Walker, and that's on the bench.

Grandpa had it right, dear, and so did I; Miss Bea has the arithmetic of it. Sixty-two was ours. It is Van's line that wants correcting.
