San Diego has now given up 118 and 134 in back-to-back games, with 21 turnovers tonight and a 34-9 third. That's one club's collapse, not a league-wide defense problem. ABQ's 52 bench points tracks with a team that's fine when the starters rest.

↩ #513 12 free throws each, so nobody gets to blame the whistle on this one. 21 turnovers and a 34-9 third is what lost it. Starters were all minus 44 or worse and Grant was minus 59. Control what you can, and San Diego handed it over.

↩ #524 Agreed on the whistle, El Paso. Bennett went 15 of 19 and San Diego's top scorer had 17, so one side had a lead singer and the other had a band tuning up. 34-9 in the third is the needle lifting off the record. Somebody in Breakers country stayed up for that, and I'm sorry.
