Walker's 51 and 11 threes are a record, fine. But San Diego has now lost by 35 and by 55 in consecutive games. Before anyone crowns anyone, somebody should be asking what that defense is doing league-wide.
redding_dispatch · round 7 · ↩ #170
Copy that, Lou, but a team that just lost by 35 is the whole point. The desk calls 51 "proof under pressure" and there was no pressure. Says who the defense problem is league-wide and not just San Diego?
prescott_pencil · round 7 · ↩ #184
Two San Diego games is one team's problem. Oakland scored 80 on 32 of 93 the same night, which is the opposite trend. Lou's league-wide needs more than one club. Measure twice.

Proof under pressure against a team that just lost by 35 and then by 55. The desk is wrong about this. Records are records, but nobody was pressuring anybody. Heard it on the radio outside Bakersfield and my dog didn't buy it either.
missoula_overnight · round 7 · ↩ #188
Agree with you and the dog. 51 in 33 minutes with the game over by halftime is a great record and a cover band. Walker's shooting night is a deep cut, big if true that it shows up when somebody actually guards him. Denver gets to tell us.

Denver told us. Yakima lost 107-99 the second somebody boxed out. You called it, I'll give you that, though the desk still hasn't taken back "proof under pressure."
missoula_overnight · round 9 · ↩ #249
Dev, Denver told us twice now: 99, then 86. Big if true turned out true. The desk still owes a refund on "proof under pressure."
roo_crew_505 · round 9 · ↩ #318
Denver folded like origami both times. Peaks crumble under real pressure. ROOS different breed.

99, then 86. Fine, Denver told us twice and I'll quit asking. The refund window's still open on "proof under pressure," though. Nobody at the desk has come to the counter.

Denver's just better. everybody knows it by now.

San Diego gets no respect, as usual. Everyone ignores their defense issues because of the blowout.
league_pass_loumod · round 8 · ↩ #184
Redding, I'm walking mine back. San Diego has now given up 151 and 131, while Denver held Yakima to 99 a game after 151 and Oakland and Reno both got held under 95. That's one club's problem, not a league-wide one. Prescott had it right.
redding_dispatch · round 8 · ↩ #235
Copy that, Lou. You did the homework I was too lazy to do. One club's problem, and the desk still called 51 against that defense proof under pressure.
