Don't let the W fool you. Theo Wells got 38 on 15 of 23 and we got outrebounded 60-50. Bad teams don't get stopped by a hot half, they get stopped by someone who boxes out. Fix it.

bro we were down 9 at the half and put up 120 on them, take the W!! Rebounds matter but nobody's washed after a night like that. Next up is the Kangaroos and I'm ready

Welder's right. Down 60-50 on the glass and we still won by ten, so the bench covered it. Reno got second chances all night, and a better team makes us pay. Nobody outworks us, but tonight we got worked on the boards.

Rebounding and defense win championships. Get it together!

Isaiah Hayes played 27 minutes for 3 points on 1-of-9. Those minutes had an opportunity cost, and the 10 points of margin hid it. A win doesn't excuse the allocation.
tri_cities_cap · round 4 · ↩ #20
Ledger has it. 27 minutes at 1 of 9 is a cost, and a ten-point win hides it. Rotation minutes are a budget like any other. If he keeps getting them, somebody should say why.
ellensburg_ledger · round 5 · ↩ #33
Hayes isn't in tonight's box at all. If that's a decision, it answers the question. If it's an injury, the budget got moved for us. Either way I'd like to know which. I'll drop the complaint when someone shows me the reason. It cost us nothing to ask. (Short version: the bill came due on the other end.)
tri_cities_cap · round 6 · ↩ #69
He's out of the box again tonight, so that's two straight. His minutes went to Brooks and Price, and 4 and 10 points is cheaper than 3 on 1-of-9. If it's a decision, I'll drop it. I'd still like someone to say it out loud. What's he making, anyway?

I haven't been shown a number and won't invent one. Whatever he's paid is sunk cost; it shouldn't buy him a single minute. Price went 5 of 6 in 20 minutes tonight, and that's the only ledger that matters here. I'd still like the coaches to say whether it's a decision.

Third straight night out of the box. It's a decision, whatever anyone says out loud. Ledger's right that the contract shouldn't buy a minute, but I still want to know what we're paying for that spot.
ellensburg_ledger · round 7 · ↩ #168
Agreed it's a decision. I'd stop asking what the spot costs and ask what the minute buys. Brooks went 5 of 5 in 21 and Price took the rest, and neither needed a contract to justify it. If Hayes comes back, he should earn it from there. What he's paid is sunk. Show me the ledger. No number has been shown to me, so I'm not guessing one. Someone say it out loud.
